Swimming at the Skinners and the cruise

Yesterday Addie and I went over to Brian and Alicia's house.  Addie got to help them feed all of their animals (turtles, bunnies, chickens, birds, etc).  After all that hard work, she took a dip in the pool!

Greg got Grandma and Grandpa off on their 50th anniversary Alaskan cruise!

Poncho time!

Be ready for some Poncho pictures!  This is the first one I made.

Then this one.  Still using that yarn I recycled from a blanket I made Zack.  I made him two blankets and then this poncho and I still have more to use!
I just made this Poncho!
and here's another one!

5 mile hike

Ken and Cory went on a 5 mile hike with Jeff and Michele in Utah.

People are dying here in Arizona when they try to go hiking in over 110 degree weather!

Road Trip

We took a last minute spontaneous road trip on Saturday morning.  We drove through Clifton and we super enjoyed it!  It's a total mining town and it has so much history and such cute older buildings and crazy tunnels!

Looks like someone just blasted a way through!
We didn't see any big horn sheep, bummer!
This is what decades of mining looks like.
A few miles later through some serious switch backs, we were up in the trees!  We stopped at this over look.    The road into it was super narrow and scary! Straight drop off.
I was too chicken to go out on the ledge, so I took a picture of the ledge instead, ha!
Jeff found a marker in the rock and was reading about it.
Quite a different view from Clifton!
It was 66 degrees and breezy!  I was freezing!
We got into our favorite little town and walked to dinner and then back.  You can see it's the "peak" season.  Main street was packed with cars!  We got back to the hotel, grabbed the truck and headed to our special place to watch the sun go down.
We saw a whole heard of elk and unfortunately scared them away.  It got chilly enough (for me) that I got to wear my poncho!
On the way back down the hill, the heard was back and blocking the road.  They weren't too happy with us making them move.  I took pictures of all of them but it was too dark :(   The next day we took our favorite dirt road into Vernon then stopped and ate lunch in Show Low at the cutest little restaurant called the Sweetheart Cafe.  That night, Connor and Cassie came over for Sunday dinner and we talked for hours.  It was a good weekend!

Skateland and Ryker's birthday

Yesterday, we went to Xtreme Air with Luken and the kids.  They give you cool socks to keep and charge you $12 for an hour of jumping.

Addie jumped off the high jump into the "air bag" below!
Kendal worked with her horsey this morning.
Sophie spent the night last night and we went roller skating this afternoon.
After Skateland, we went and put flowers on Ryker's grave because it's his birthday today.
Happy Birthday little brother.

Father's Day

Father's Day morning, Kendal and Cory were the first to wish Dad a happy Father's Day.  They Faced Timed him since they couldn't be here.  A little later, Addie came over (before Zack got in from Florida) so we could work on some Father's Day gifts.  She also finally got her jump rope in the mail!  It took two weeks!  I called and complained that I could have gotten a jump rope on Amazon for the same price with no shipping, the next day!  Then two days later, I got the jump rope and there were two inside?  Hmmm?  Cassie said they probably forgot to mail it out and mailed it priority and stuck in another jump rope to make me happy.  Sounds like a solid theory!  Lol?!  We all had a try at some jump roping!

Then down to some serious business!  I got Addie a plate and a matching cup to draw on for her Dad.  Then I thought, "Maybe I'll get an extra cup?"  So, I got a blue one.  Good thing I did because Addison knocked the orange cup across the room with her elbow! Ha!
I traced Addie's hand onto the plate and it got permanent marker all over her hand.  She went to the sink to use some dawn to get it off.  Papa was giving her some grief :)  Then since it was Father's Day, Jeff went upstairs to rest his eyes.  A little while later, Zack walked in the house with Dad's present and asked me for something to wrap it with when Dad came down the stairs and said, "You can just give it to me now!"  Ha!  Busted!  Now he can finally sleep on a MY PILLOW of his own!
Then Addie decided to give her Dad his presents too!
She made her Dad and Papa a homemade card.  It looks totally blank in the picture but it's not! haha!
Her school picture on a frame for his cubicle at work.
And the special cup and plate she decorate for him!  He said, "This is the kinda stuff I've always wanted for Father's Day!"
Then we went over to Connor and Cassie's house.  They made a great dinner!  Zack and Alex brought over an oreo ice cream cake!
Connor and Cassie got Dad a straw lid for his hydroflask (which everyone was so jealous over!)  It's kind of a big deal! Ha!!!  And a LuLu Lemon shirt!  After some of Cassie's yummy cup cakes and Ice cream cake, we went back to our house and they all went swimming :)
