Walk around the block

Jeff and I went on a walk around the block.

We saw Zack and Addie at the park down the street.

Zack was teaching her how to make sand castles using wet sand :)

We left them to play....

but then she wanted to come and walk with us.

"Nana!  Papa!  Wait!"

There she goes!  She fell down..whoops!

She's back up and runnin!

alllllmost  there!

Now she's acting like a zombie as she climbs up the last hill!

Gotcha!

 "Papa can you carry me?"

 We passed by where the sidewalk ends and watched the kids play

 "Papa, can I have your gum?"

No, no no..

Hiking

Jeff actually went back to work yesterday :(

So the kids and I decided to do the looooong hike around Usery Mountain.

The kids filled their packs with weights!

Their packs were like 30 pounds!

As for me, I carried a tiny little camelback :)

 Its like 7 1/2 miles of treacherous terrain.

At this point, the only one of us who has fallen, was me.

Luckily, I caught myself by slamming my hand into a

big rock to catch myself.

Thank God it wasn't my crocheting hand!!!

By the end of the hike, Kendal fell twice.

Zack had to get out his first aid kit.

I'm no 68 Whiskey but I taped her scraped knee up pretty good!

Then she fell again closer to the end and messed up her hand :(

Poor girl!

She's tuff and she made it.

She was even running with that pack on!

Connor said it was making his arms go numb!

I think it took us 2 1/2 hours to do this hike.

We were sweaty, tired, bloody (some of us)

and super HUNGRY!

Christmas

We went to the Wandering Horse Christmas Buffet at the

Talking Stick resort for Christmas brunch!

 The most wonderful food and desserts! 

I'm pretty sure we tried them all!!!

(I know I tried all the desserts!)

I even tried some wild boar!

Connor and I agreed it tasted like jerky.

Then we went and saw the new Mission Impossible movie.

Christmas sure does change when you get older!

Still working on the kitchen

While Daddy and Papa will still working on putting together her kitchen..

 I set up a little station for her to "scan" some groceries

 I would hand her the items and she would scan
them and put them in a bag.

 Then I thought...
I should put them in her shopping cart like at the store!

When she was done "scanning" the items
and they were all bagged up..

she would say, "That will be $70".

One time I had a lot of items and she said,
 "That will be hundreds of dollars"

I said, "Ya, that's what is normally is!"

Then I would hand her my fake "credit card"
and she would swipe it, hand it back to me and say,
"You're all set!"

Daddy and Papa weren't having as much fun though :)

The Nutcracker

After breakfast we came back on got Addie and Zack ready to go to the Nutcracker!

 Another Christmas gift Zack got for Addie :)

Hope she likes it!

 On the way to the Nutcracker she took a little nap!

She loved it.

It was just a little too long for her though :)
