Leaving Ouray was my worst nightmare! It was mountain grades and switch backs! I got so freaked out that I almost sent Dad into a panic attack! It was STRAIGHT down and NO guard rails!
I decided it would be best if I just kept my head down and
did some combat breathing, ha!???
Then Dad says, "Look at that guy on a bike!"
I looked up quick and snapped a picture! There was no
guard rail and like I said ~ straight down if that guy falls off
the road! We saw a lot more bikers after him as well!
Still snow on the ground!
Cool tunnel
I like this road
Oh no! Here it comes again!
And again! Luckily, from here on out, we were on the
shoulder side of the mountain, which was still super scary!
We decided we don't ever need to go back to Colorado. It was full of motorcyclists and people pulling their campers. A total tourist place. All the RV parks were packed. So much traffic. We couldn't wait to get out of Colorado.
And then we were in New Mexico.
Dad knew he hit a bird, just didn't know we took it with us!
Bird!?
On the 77 on our way to Heber. Storm is coming in.
Looks like a Haboob.
In Forrest Lakes, lookin gloomy. But we got NO rain!
We had dinner in Payson and dessert!
You can't go to Payson and not stop at DQ!
Meanwhile, in Utah, Cory and Kendal went shooting!
In town now on the beeline highway. Yup, it's that hot!
And a haboob IS coming!
The storm hit around 10:30.
Wicked thunder and a good down pour of rain!
Good to be home. Now, let's move!
