Today we had the familia over to celebrate our 40th birthdays. I made a Mexican feast. We had tortilla soup, red cheese enchiladas and white enchiladas. Mom brought cheesey potatoes, spanish rice and eclair cake. Jeff's Mom brought a salad and made the birthday cake. It was a great feast!
After we ate, we opened presents.
Kendal was in charge of taking pictures.
The Schmitt family got us a gift certificate to dinner and a movie.
Connor said that would be perfect for him and Cassie.
As you can see by our reaction, that was a big "I don't think so." :) 
Mom got Jeff a gift card to - you guessed it - the MOVIES! We're going to see some movies :)
Here, I am just totally facinated with Arica's cell phone.
I get distracted easily :)
Apparently, so does Kendal. She goes from taking pictures
of us opening presents to taking pictures of the "crowd".
Ok, focus now...back to us.
Oh, oh yah, back to the baby. She was trying to grab Zack's plugs!

My Nana, Lisa and Susan got us these gifts. I got a box in a box. Very nice boxes. Jeff got a windchime that had a police vehicle and a badge on it that says protect and serve. I've always wanted a windchime! ;) I love the sound it makes!
Now the gift from Mom. I was a little scared when I saw a picture frame. You never know with my Mom. It could have been a picture of me when I was 12 and had a bad perm and buck teeth! haha But it was a picture of my Nana on her wedding day! She was 21 years old. I have always loved this picture!
There was another picture in there. This one was of my Mom and Dad on their wedding day. Mom was 18 and Dad was 17! They are so cute! I will always cherish these pictures!

Now time for the cake. Jeff's Mom made a homemade cake. I just think they taste so much better. Plus they are made with love (awww). :)
