Game night

Saturday night everyone came back to the house and Jeff grilled up some burgers and brats.

We played a fun dice game called hangman and then played Apples to Apples.

 I cooked up an apple and a cherry pie.. and of course,

we ate it right out of the oven and topped it off with some ice cream!

 (We had to take the ice cream scooper away from Addison).

 Connor was getting a little stressed out over the games???

Connor gets his license!

Connor got his license today! I was so nervous watching him do his 3 point turn. If you hit a cone - you automatically fail! Pressure! When he came back from his driving test, the lady got out of the car, grabbed her head and said something about her head and never being able to recover????? I laughed and thought she was joking- but she never even looked at me or laughed. She just walked over to the next person. I got in the car with Connor and told him what she said. He just shrugged and said everything went perfect. His score sheet also said 100%. I guess that's just MVD humor??? Yikes!

When I got home I started making dinner and working on my blog. I put some chicken on to cook and then forgot about it. Thank God for smoke alarms! Connor and I had to run around the house, open all the windows and turn on the fans! I was so embarrassed that the neighbors might hear the alarm and see all the smoke drifting out the windows! I ran the chicken under water for a long time and most of the black charred stuff came off the pan.

Whoops! I can't blog long - I got another pot of chicken on the stove!

Hanging out

Ryker and Coulter came over to play some pool.

 Addie was in her highchair eating her favorite cookie.

"What? I got something on my face?"

 Zack showed off his cute purple socks

(that he stole from Kaytee because his had a hole in it).

 We were also hosting a school softball team party at our house.

Caitlin Evans obviously didn't want her picture taken.

Addie sure does love her cookies!



Hole in one

Jeff was playing some Wii golf while Connor and Kendal were playing some darts (in the background) and I was on the couch crocheting..and Addison was hanging out..

When all of a sudden...Papa got a hole in one!

 He was proceeding to tell us ALL about it

 and Addison couldn't take her eyes off of him.

She was listening intently!

 Then went back to playing with her toys.

Bagel Baby

Kendal was putting cream cheese on her bagel and

 Addison kept trying to grab it.

So, I ripped a piece off and gave it to her.

 Thanks Aunt Kendal!

She loved it!

BBQ

On Sunday we invited the Cervantes' and the Marmie's over for a BBQ.

 We bought a cheap (not in price but quality) badminton set that we

 wanted to make more sturdy, so we ran over to Home Depot.

Jeff had a great idea with the poles. We just couldn't figure out how to do the base. Jeff tried my idea first..which was to pound it into the ground with some nails - it didn't work - so then he did his (original plan, he just humored me) and used a wood base.

He got out his power tools and put the weight bench to good use!

 He and Johnny enjoyed a nice game of badminton.

Angelina took the pictures for me, while I was inside getting my butt kicked in darts.

 Kendal was of course, challenging everyone to a game of pool.

 Jeff played some darts with Johnny and Kendall

 While Larry and Angelina played some Wii tennis.

 Looks like they were pretty competitive.

 Melissa and Dane also played a game of pool.

 Jeff won the dart game.

 Sierra, chillin' on the couch.

 While Larry and Johnny chilled in the other room.

Kendal was having a hard time hitting the dart board while the other Kendall was busy texting.

Nap Time

Zack and Addie looked so cute, I had to take a picture.

  Addie was sick and not feeling well.

 She had a stuffy nose and I could hear her snoring. :(

 She is such a happy baby.

 You can't tell, but she loves to get her picture taken!??!!
